We named our trust HariShakun to honor Shri Hari Singh Ji and Smt. Shakuntla Devi Ji, whose values and inspiration guide our work.
Our journey began over 10 years ago, driven by the challenges we saw in our society. We realized that creating a better world starts with ourselves—our thoughts, actions, and commitment to positive change. Every life matters, and we believe in building a world where everyone has equal opportunities and value.
In December 2018, we officially started as Shikha Ray of Light Trust, focused on bringing light and hope to those in need. By July 2022, we strengthened our vision and took a bold step forward, renaming and registering as Harishakun Trust to reflect our renewed purpose and unwavering dedication.
Throughout our journey we met such amazing people who had a positive outlook on the world and the desire to make a difference as well as people who had a more negative view of the world. However both were a good experience for us to learn more about how we can improve the quality of our work , because what you say is not that important for others or effective but what you do is what matters, your action's output will impact society. We love connecting with people who also want to make a difference and that's why we are very thankful for those they appreciate our work and help us on our impactful journey.

At HariShakun Trust, we believe in being open and honest about how we use donations and resources. Every contribution is carefully spent to make the biggest impact through our programs. Every year, we release our annual report for supporters, partners, volunteers, and all members to see our programs, outcomes, and how we transparently manage the budget and resources.
I am committed to making knowledge accessible and improving key areas like sustainability, health, girls' safety, and empowerment. Sadly, many important resources are often hidden behind high costs or paywalls, making it hard for people to access them.
